And So It Begins...

The creative side of me is not something that I recently discovered as evidenced by this treasure of a letter I wrote my Great Aunt in the spring of 1990:

Oh no, the creative side of me is something that has existed for quite some time.

It was present throughout high school and college, whether it was through building a homecoming float or organizing a sorority rush party. And it manifested itself completely during the planning of my dream "preppy wedding" several years ago.

The creative side of me has shown its true colors in the many parties I have participated in planning over the years. And the projects...ooohhh the projects. They are enough to drive my family mad.

Recently the creative side of me has been expressed through my cookies. What started as an experiment for a friend's baby shower has now turned into a full-blown passion.

So please follow me as I keep my creative side blooming...maybe we'll even learn a thing or two from each other along the way!

  2. Amy - As long as I've known you (which I know isn't that long!) you have always exuded amazing creativity, especially in baking. I love making food, but it often doesn't look very pretty - your food, on the other hand, always looks & tastes so fantastic! I want you to make me more cake balls, since I am afraid mine will never look as good as yours. :)

  3. Hi Amy!

Thank you so very much for the Thirtieth Anniversary Cookies! My husband and I thought they were great. Thank you for making our 30th anniversary so special, June 3, 2011. I am Jamie, Rachel's mom, I would like to add you as a friend on my facebook page!We actually gave one to Chris DeMay to try since he said he knew you from Oakton H.S.
On another note, your wedding pictures are so beautiful. You are a true beauty, beautiful within and out!

    All the best,
    Jamie Mary McCloskey
